The Blue Meanie strain is thought to have originated in southeastern Australia, its name is derived from the vivid blue bruising which appears when the fruiting body is touched. This bruising is also an indicator of its elevated concentrations of psilocybin and psilocin.

Despite the name, its effects include euphoria, synesthesia, energy, visual stimulation, vibration felt throughout the body and feelings of connectedness. It is one of the most popular cubensis strains due to the versatility of its application, and the increased potency that has been “bred” into the genetic over generations of isolation.

Its visual characteristics are typically medium/large fruiting bodies with thick, dense stems and a golden caramel to tan, often white speckled cap. This strain has moderate sporulation, moderate yield, and above average potency.

Blue Meanie is also a common name for Panneolus Cyanscens (a different mushroom species) This product is a Psilocybe Cubensis strain

Penis Envy (P.E.) is definitively the most potent cubensis variety. It is theorized that the strain was first isolated by legendary mycologist and psychonaut Terrence Mckenna, and extensively isolated over several years to create a significantly higher potency genetic.

Its charasteristics consist of large dense stalks with an underdeveloped pale cap, somewhat resembling a phallic object. PE mushrooms drop very few spores and therefore are difficult to propagate/cultivate. This, along with increased potency makes them a rare and desirable strain.

Another notable distinction that separates Penis Envy from almost all other cubensis varieties is the lack of a velum (veil) separating the cap and stem of the fruiting body.
